Week 5I am always very nervous when having to complete video assignments. Last spring I used a few applications that did not create quality projects. Today I spent 8 hours creating and editing my video in Adobe Premiere Pro CC. This program is a great product and I feel that it has allowed me to produce a quality video. I had to teach my self the program and this is why I think the project took me a day to complete. I also learned to use Audacity today. This program was also new to me but it was only an audio file so it was not as complicated. The trick with audacity is that you create a file that you have to convert the file to a wav file before you can create an MP3. I found a very easy converter online and finished my podcast in about 2 hours. These programs were time consuming but I do feel that if I use them more I will feel more comfortable and that I can create great videos that can enhance my learners experience in my class. I plan on using both of the files I created today with my middle school students. The podcast will be used as an introductory assignment for my students. They can listen to this as part of a "homefun" (homework) assignment. The vidoe will be used with my students who miss a lesson because of an absence. The video can also be used for student who need the directions repeated. The video I made for 4.3 will allow my students the ability to re-watch parts of the lesson that they may need extra assistance with. The application Edupuzzle.com was the application that I feel I will use the most as a teacher. This tool is very user friendly and it can be paired with Google Classroom. I feel that I will use my edupuzzle as a pop quiz to ensure that my students listened to the podcast. I feel that this tool offers me and other teachers a variety of YouTube videos on various subjects. Then we the teacher can utilize them and add questions to them with ease. I foresee me using this a lot during the 2019-2020 school year, with my class. I also intend on showing this to the faculty at my school because I feel this can be utilized across many subject areas, and it can help incorporate technology across the curriculum.

I like the term homefun instead of homework :). It is clear that you put in a lot of work to learn those tools, The good news is that is an investment in yourself that will stand you in good stead for the classes you teach.

Great job on your projects. Your time learning the tools really paid off. Thanks for mentioning that Edupuzzle can be linked to Google Classroom for some reason that slipped by me. I might be able to utilize that this year. It reminds me of khan academy just with the ability to edit.
