Week 8ITD 645 was class that introduced me to an array of new tools. This class allowed me to communicate through asynchronous and synchronous applications. The new applications and programs that I utilized in this class I intend to use in my class this fall and to introduce to my fellow teachers. I was able to develop a lesson plan that can be implemented into that utilizes a variety of applications. This class has provided me with many new tools to put in my education toolbox.
Weebly- This is a great tool to use that allows a teacher to create a classroom blog or website. This platform has allowed me to create a weekly journal of my learning experience. It also allowed me to create a course site so I could keep my students and their parent’s up to date with things that are going on in the classroom. I feel this tool will be very useful for my students who have a high rate of absenteeism. By creating a class website my students can stay up to date and review any material they may have missed. Google Docs-Google Docs is a form of Micro-Soft word that allows students to collaborate online. This application can be used in conjunction with Google Classroom and allows students to connect to the application using their assigned google accounts. Google Docs allows teachers and students to share assignments so that digital collaboration can occur. I enjoyed creating the story in google docs and allowing my group members to add pictures. This is an idea that I am going to borrow for my own classroom. I like this idea and feel that this can help me not only teach the tool but I can also teach students about copyright when searching for photos on the internet. For all of the group activities we completed in class, each group member had a google account and information was shared freely through google drive. I created a group shared folder and I placed needed information in the folder. I also created editable folders and documents so that each member of the group knew what the assignment expectations were. Google Slides- This application is also one that can be found in the Google suites, it is a free application and it is a simplified version of Google PowerPoint. This application is one that allowed me to create a PowerPoint so that it could be shared and edited by my classmates. This program can easily convert any PowerPoint presentation into google slides. By utilizing google slides it allows you place your presentation in your google drive and it gives you the freedom to share your document with others as well edit a document. When a document is shared and editable it allows all of the users to see the changes in real time. This is great when you are working on presentations and not all parties are in the same location. Google Forms to create a Survey- This class also required that all participants create a survey and that they complete the survey of their group members. Google Forms provides a quick way to generate an online survey, the responses are collected in an online spreadsheet, and readily available. Surveys can be shared with recipients through email invites or by the sharing of the URL. Once the survey is received by the recipients the questions can be accessed through almost any web browser - including mobile smartphone and tablet browsers. The survey sender can then view each response in a single row of a spreadsheet, with each question shown in a column. The great thing about this application and all of the google applications discussed thus far is they are all free and all you need is a google account to access them. Podcast-This was a new adventure for me, I am a visual learner. Listening to things and utilizing the auditory process only has never appealed to me. I do not think that I had ever listened to a podcast before I had to complete this project. I did learn to use Audacity and I learned to convert the file into an audio file. I was very apprehensive with this assignment but in the end I feel that it turned out well. I do see how podcasts could be beneficial especially to auditory learners, but I am still unsure how I may utilized it in my classroom. Digital Video- Now this is an area that gives me great anxiety. I am not one that does well with digital media. I can create great PowerPoints with meaningful transitions and animation and I can even add music as well. But to create a video this makes me cringe. I feel that on this video I utilized my skills and combined my PowerPoint skill with the minimal skill I have in video production. I do feel that by using the correct tools that video editing is much easier. I used Adobe Premier Pro to complete my video project. This application made the process easier. I was able to lay a voice track in with my video clip and PowerPoint slides. I feel that by using this application my video was easier to produce. Edupuzzle-This tool I absolutely “LOVE”. I am so thankful that I was introduced to this tool. I use a lot of videos in my class and I feel that the one thing they are missing is student interaction. I can always show a video but I am never quite sure if “ALL” of my students comprehend. By incorporating Edupuzzle I can now check for understanding when the students watch a video. This is a great tool and I think it will help out tremendously in my classroom. Quizzizz- Quizizz is a great way to accomplish student-paced assessments that are fun and engaging for students. This tool is completely free, there are no paid features teachers can use everything for free. There are also no restrictions on the number of quizzes you can create conduct or play. Quizizz can be played on any device with any browser. This includes PCs, laptops, tablets, smartphones and almost any device that runs on iOS/Mac, Android, Windows or Linux operating systems. You can use any modern browser, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Internet Explorer 11+. This tool can only be used if every child has a device that is the only drawback that I see to this tool. Fortunately my classroom is 1:1 so my students will be using this tool this school year. Rubric- This is a great tool that allows you to create a class rubric. This tool was easy to use and allowed the user to edit the rubric easily. This is another tool that I intend to share with my fellow teachers. ThingLink- Is a tool that allows teachers and or students to create image interaction technology. Teachers and students can easily create interactive infographics, maps, drawings, and engaging 360 documentaries in a classroom setting, at home, or on field trips. I had a hard time using this tool for the topic that I incorporated into my lesson but I feel that this tool could be incorporated into my class. I think I could allow my students to create an info graphic on a specific topic and utilize this tool to create it. Scoopit- This platform allows me the teacher to post topic-related site links, articles, or other resources to with my students. This platform is set up similar to a social media page and is easy to use. This application does need to be monitored closely because not all of the sites that Scoop-it pulls from is regulated. Padlet- Is a digital bulletin board. This program is a great place for gathering ideas, sharing them and modifying. It works similarly to a living, breathing, digital sticky notes, users can add links, YouTube videos, files and images to notes on Padlet. Illustrate your strong and weak points I feel that as a technology teacher I have a lot of strong points. I understand google suites and I feel that I can assist classmates/group members who may be struggling. I do not claim to have all of the answers but I am willing to help. This to me is a strong asset that I feel is one of my strengths. As for weaknesses, I feel can is in the area of video production. I am not confident with my skills in this area and I feel I need to work on this. Integrating technology applications into your classroom? I feel that all of the tools that I have been exposed to in this class can be used in some form during my class. I teach technology and I feel that as a technology teacher I should expose my students to all of the tools in my educational toolbox. I may not use all of the tools to teach with but I may teach a few of the tools to my students so they be exposed to new digital tools. I have illustrated throughout my reflection on each tool how I can see it used in my classroom. I intend to use Scoop-it, Edupuzzle, Quizzizz, Rubric, as well as the Google Suites applications. These tools are easy fits into my curriculum and can add interaction to my class. I intend to use Thinglink but I will allow my students to illustrate a concept with it. I feel this tool will give them a new presentation skill that they can use in the future. What are your future learning goals? I intend to continue to learn new digital tools to use in the classroom with my students. I would like to become more familiar with video production so that I can feel at ease when asked to create a movie. I have recently purchased a MacBook. I am a PC girl and I feel that I also need to be as confident on a Mac as I am on a PC. I also intend to look for new digital tools that can make my class more interactive and engaging.

Week 7Ch 11 Q 1 What are the legal considerations of which a teacher must be aware when implementing technologies in the classroom? Explain each consideration and the step(s) you would take in your own classroom to ensure that you do not violate the law. The majority of districts have implement district polices regarding hardware usage, acceptable software, allowable sites, and firewalls that give users limited access. A person may not be able to access the same material at school that they can at home. This unfortunately can be frustrating to teachers but has had to be implemented because someone somewhere has abused these resources so now everyone must suffer. When educators and their students use the Internet, they have access to a wide variety of material -- much of which may be protected by copyright law. Both educators and their students need to be aware of the kinds of activities that risk copyright infringement. The most important thing that teachers and learners need to realize is that just because resources exist on the Internet doesn't mean anyone has the right to use them. All media assets such as pictures, video, text , etc, belong to the creator and fall under copyright protection. I remind my students that Big Brother is always watching and that technology should be used ethically. I ask them to always think about the following to ensure they are technology correctly. Take care of technology equipment. Viruses and Malware run rampant on the web daily, you must always be careful when you click, download, and share information. Surf for appropriate and safe sites for learning and research. A vast majority of websites on the net today contain inaccurate or false information. Teachers and students need to learn how to evaluate websites and assess whether they can trust the content that is on each site. Help prevent cyber bullying. Anonymity on the internet allows people to feel as if they can say anything. Students should be taught that this is not the case and that cyber bullying is hurtful and damaging to others and it can be a criminal offence. Cite your sources, you should always give credit to original source. By citing your source you are following the copyright laws and will not be accused of plagiarism. Ch 12 Q 2 Technology continues to evolve, becoming more personally responsive, more collaborative, and more individualized in addressing the needs of the learner. This approach of teaching and learning – whether using personal learning environments, MOOCs, or digital badges – will change how teachers use technology to ensure instruction that addresses the unique needs of the learner. How do you think the personalized learning will alter the way you implement technology-centered personalized learning in your classroom? Give at least three examples. Two new concepts are now available: MOOCs and Digital Badges. MOOCs which is short for Massive Open Online Courses, are free online courses available for anyone to enroll. MOOCs allow the learner an affordable and flexible way to learn new skills, which can allow them to advance in their current career or gain skills to begin new career paths. They also deliver quality educational experiences in a digital environment. Some examples of MOOCs are Duolingo-language learning platform, Treehouse- can help users learn new skills in coding and app development, and Lynda.com-A learning and training website build around video tutorials. The concept of digital badges is a powerful new way to identify and validate the skills, knowledge, accomplishments, and competencies individuals have. Digital badges is a way to inspire and connect learners to opportunities, resources, and one another. These two concepts are fascinating to and can be found inside many programs. Khan Academy is a learning platform that uses both of these concepts. They offer Open Free Online Courses and they allow users the ability to collect digital badges during each program. Digital Badging is being used globally and it is a way to share your skills in a digital manner. Think of it like a merit badge that you received as a Girl Scout or a Boy Scout. Many institutions and businesses are using digital badges to illustrate the skills that a student has attained in courses. Some teachers are awarding badges in classrooms instead of grades. This system can be applied in professional developments for a variety of skills. Digital Badges are very versatile and allow the learner to be empowered. Review of Weekly Tools: I enjoyed using some of the tools in this weeks assignments, but there were a few that I feel did not have a true fit in my classroom. Padlet and Thinglink are 2 of the tools that I will use very sparingly in my class. Both of these tools are great and definitely have a place in today's digital classroom, but I currently utilize Canvas and I feel that there are built in tools in the LMS that I can use that can accomplish the same ideas and concepts that Padlet fulfills. As for Thinglink this tool gave me issues and I felt that it was more appropriate in a Social Studies classroom. On a positive note I feel that ScoopIt was a tool that I can utilize quite regularly. This is great way to introduce my students to informational text and allow them to read articles that are about technology trends, and concerns. The Quizziz app and the the Rubric I feel I can also utilize in my classroom. I intend to show all of these tools to my fellow teachers because I feel that they would be beneficial in each of their classrooms. The tools and resources on the web must be applied to help students become productive digital citizens of their 21st century global digital society. What do you see as your role in preparing your students for their place in their world? What specifically will you do in your classroom to ensure that preparation? Students of all ages need to be taught key lessons when using 21st century technology on the internet, such as Internet Safety, Privacy & Security, Communications, Cyber bullying, Digital Footprint & Reputation, Self-Image & Identity, Information Literacy and Creative Credit & Copyright. These topics are on the listed on almost every digital citizen program on the web. But one of the most important facts about the internet is that it is a powerful connector it is. You can walk around at school and have a chat with your neighbor, Mrs. Johnson, and you can do this anytime. But if you don’t really like Mrs. Johnson, you can also get online and chat with someone in Nigeria, Beijing, or Tasmania. Through the power of the internet you can see, hear, show, and tell. The global connection is amazing and the digital world opens up global citizenship for our students. I feel that we need to prepare students by having them complete a digital citizenship unit in each of their computer classes. This will allow the students to tackle topics that are age appropriate. These skills are essential for students/technology users to harness the full potential of technology for learning and for college and career readiness. There are several great programs that allow student complete online lessons. Everfi.com has 2 programs that come to mind Ignition and Character Playbook. (https://everfi.com/offerings/listing/ignition-digital-literacy-relaunched/) Ch 10 Q1 There has been much discussion about whether distance education can provide students instruction that is equal in quality to traditional education. Do you think an equivalent experience is possible via distance delivery? Why or why not? Distance education vs traditional education. This is a topic that really hits home as a classroom teacher and as an online student. As a face to face classroom teacher I will always feel that traditional classrooms are more productive and will allow the students to form a deeper connections with the topics being addressed and the curriculum. I feel that learning is about making connections and if you take face to face away then it is very difficult to make connection with the teacher and your classmates. For instance in an online class the professor can never tell if the student fully understands the assignment until the assignment is turned in. But in a classroom there are visual cues that a teacher can notice to see if understanding is taking place. In the online world of distance learning there are only assignments and grades. There are no visual cues. This to me will always be a drawback. Now my perspective from the student point of view is only one that distance learning is more convenient. I feel that I get out of my online classes only what I put into them. This to me is the challenge of online learning. There needs to be a way other than email or canvas inbox to communicate and address class concerns. I sometimes wish we would have a discussion forum that we can join in when we need answers about assignments so the students and professors can chat like we would in face to face classes. Not necessarily a lecture setting but a question answer session, like a video conference. This to me would be very useful in my distance education. To conclude I feel that both traditional and online learning both have pros and cons, but in all types of educational setting the student is the one that determines how much learning actually occurs. Course Site- cyberitd645gp.weebly.com As I reflect on this weeks course, I do feel that the site could be useful in my class. Unfortunately, my district actually does not allow teachers to have their own course websites. I can not create a google website because it has administrative blocks tied to my school google account. But I can create a weebly site. If my district does rewrite the policy I could see this site being very beneficial to my students and their parents. The course site is a way to allow the parents to see what is taking place in the course with out logging into my students Google accounts and or their Canvas accounts. I feel that classrooms sites are a way to bridge the gap that develops between the classroom and home. If parents take an interest in a child's education the benefits are endless. Week 5I am always very nervous when having to complete video assignments. Last spring I used a few applications that did not create quality projects. Today I spent 8 hours creating and editing my video in Adobe Premiere Pro CC. This program is a great product and I feel that it has allowed me to produce a quality video. I had to teach my self the program and this is why I think the project took me a day to complete. I also learned to use Audacity today. This program was also new to me but it was only an audio file so it was not as complicated. The trick with audacity is that you create a file that you have to convert the file to a wav file before you can create an MP3. I found a very easy converter online and finished my podcast in about 2 hours. These programs were time consuming but I do feel that if I use them more I will feel more comfortable and that I can create great videos that can enhance my learners experience in my class. I plan on using both of the files I created today with my middle school students. The podcast will be used as an introductory assignment for my students. They can listen to this as part of a "homefun" (homework) assignment. The vidoe will be used with my students who miss a lesson because of an absence. The video can also be used for student who need the directions repeated. The video I made for 4.3 will allow my students the ability to re-watch parts of the lesson that they may need extra assistance with. The application Edupuzzle.com was the application that I feel I will use the most as a teacher. This tool is very user friendly and it can be paired with Google Classroom. I feel that I will use my edupuzzle as a pop quiz to ensure that my students listened to the podcast. I feel that this tool offers me and other teachers a variety of YouTube videos on various subjects. Then we the teacher can utilize them and add questions to them with ease. I foresee me using this a lot during the 2019-2020 school year, with my class. I also intend on showing this to the faculty at my school because I feel this can be utilized across many subject areas, and it can help incorporate technology across the curriculum.

Week 4I enjoy using Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Slides and Google Forms. Although for some this is a momentous task. It is super easy to open a document and create it, but the sharing feature that is sometimes tricky. This to me is where a lot of people get frustrated and begin to stumble. I myself have had issues in the past. I do not always click on the correct sharing settings. When you have an email address that is school owned but a domain of Google it can sometimes be difficult to click the correct sharing setting. It is so much easier to share files within my district but when I have to share outside of my domain, I sometimes have issues. I seem to always have to go back and change my setting and click the share with anyone with the link. As for using google docs and slides in my classroom I do foresee me doing this a lot. But the plus side of this is that Google Classroom. This program which is free to the schools allows the teacher to share documents with ease. It also allows the instructor to send copies of the document to their students so the original is not altered. This unfortunately is not something we can utilize when creating files for ITD 645 because we are not all have Google classroom accounts. I feel that as I go into the 2019-2020 school year that I will use Google Classroom a lot and I will be able to communicate and instruct with 21st century tools. I feel very fortunate to be living in an age where technology can be placed in the hands of our students on a daily basis and utilized for educational purposes. 3. When technology is used to support culturally and linguistically diverse students, it is often remedial. Some students find themselves using technology that has been designed for younger learners simply because the vocabulary level matches their current language acquisition. This types of remediation via technology can be frustrating to use. Imagine yourself living in another country, trying to learn its language, and being asked to learn via remedial software. What concerns would you have about this instructional approach? What other options might be found to avoid remediation when it instructionally unnecessary? If I were a learner in a foreign country trying to learn a curriculum in a foreign language I would not want to be re-mediated, I would want to be educated. So many times students are placed in front of computer screens and expected to learn new concepts. Sometimes this is effective but most of the time it is a waste of time. Computers do not teach, teachers teach. Software cannot replace teachers. It has been proven in a multitude of research that students who are taught at a low level are not being challenged. If a student needs to learn a language then full emersion in the language is a great technique that could be used to teach a new language. Chapter 5: Gina Q1 Chapter Five
In order to be an effective technology teacher, you must first understand the technology you are using. While computers are marvelous tools it should not be forgotten that they are machines. And all machines must be maintained and updated in order to keep them from becoming obsolete. The older a PC is the slower its processing speed becomes. Teachers who use technology as their primary resource have to make sure that all of their devices are up to date and can process and receive data quickly. Not only is it important to update devices it is important to keep the users skills up to date. Technology changes so rapidly and it is important to stay current with all the necessary upgrades and updates. Chapter 6: Gina Q2, Chapter Six 2. Some teachers believe that too much emphasis is placed on computers and other technologies in the classroom. Considering the technologies you have learned about in this chapter, do you agree or disagree? Defend your view. Technology in the classroom is very important. Chapter 6 discusses many different technologies in the classroom such as: mobile devices, electronic whiteboards, tablets, digital cameras, scanners, e-readers and video conferencing. Some of these tools allow the teacher and students to interact and communicate when they are not even the same state. Technology has allowed learning to take place around the world with a click of a button. These new tools allow materials to be presented in new and innovative ways that is appealing to the learner. Technology in the classroom allows 21st learner to develop skills that is very necessary for the tech based world of work. Technology also adds more interactivity to a lesson. Finally, technology encourages the students to collaborate and discovers at the click of a button. I believe that tech based classrooms can improve the learning environment which in turn promotes learning. Week 23 Questions Ch 1-3
Chapter 1: Gina Q1,Standards have altered teacher preparation programs and curriculum requirements in schools. The intention behind standardization is to ensure equivalent and consistent instruction and to provide measurable outcomes. Do you believe that the implementation of standards identified by national, state, and curriculum organizations has accomplished their intent? Explain why or why not. Standards are in my opinion necessary and important, they serve as guides for schools to follow to create instruction. Teachers, parents and students use standards as a tool to ensure that curriculum focuses on what students are expected to learn. Without standards, districts and schools would not have a goal. Standards allow curriculum to be transparent-by matching what is taught in the classroom to the standards in each subject area, students will know what teachers should be teaching, what students should be learning and what they will be tested on. If all schools across the country had the same standards, all students would be expected to achieve at the same level, no matter what state they live in. If students in Mississippi were required to know the same things as students in Oregon, for example, they would be prepared to attend universities throughout the country. National standards would make it easier for students to adjust to a new school when they move from one state to another. Historically American students have repeatedly fallen behind in math and science when compared to their peers in other countries. With national standards, it would be clear what students need to know to compete internationally. In my opinion, in an increasingly mobile population, it would be easier for students who currently face differing standards and different tests in each state if our country would implement national standards it could help American student scores internationally. Unfortunately we have not adopted a national curriculum, I do see how advantageous it could be to American Students. Chapter 2: Gina Q2, Different students have different learning styles and their learning styles influence their learning. As a teacher, you should understand your students learning styles when preparing for the classes. Discuss your understanding on different learning styles and its influence on learning. Classrooms have changed over last 7-10 years and technology has become an integral part of teaching and instructing 21st Century learners. Students are developing critical thinking skills, learning new concepts and creatively expressing their own ideas with the aid of electronic devices. Although technology has been integrated and changed how how curriculum can be presented the learning styles of our students have not changed. The learner styles are visual, auditory and kinesthetic. Visual learners learn by reading directions or seeing a demonstration. They often need to see concepts by viewing pictures, diagrams and charts. Teachers can use technology to produce visual aids to help these students understand the lesson. For example, teachers can create a PowerPoint that outlines key points and includes pictures or diagrams. This simple practice helps visual learners focus and understand the material better. Auditory learning students comprehend and remember information through listening and speaking. Presentations and public speaking assignments accommodate this learning style. However, technology can also enhance these students’ educational experience. Younger learners can utilize an iPad app called Me Books. The app allows students to choose from a variety of children’s books featuring beloved characters such as Peppa Pig and Peter Rabbit. Students have the ability to read along as a voice recording reads aloud. The app gives the user the ability to record their own voices as they practice reading. This app does have in app purchases, but auditory learners can greatly benefit from hearing their own voice sound out new words. Kinesthetic learners need to perform interactive activities to understand new concepts. They thrive while working on hands-on projects. Technology offers many ways of accommodating this learning style. If kinesthetic learners need extra help they can use programs such as Khan Academy which can illustrate concepts and allows them to complete problems to understand difficult concepts. This program creates videos as guides and allows it learners to use the knowledge from the video to complete tasks. It has a great program that teaches students Html and CSS for creating a website. Chapter 3: Gina Q3, This chapter introduced you that lesson planning was an outgrowth of your instructional design. The DID section helped you see the overall organization of your instructional unit, and this lesson plan section helped you address what you would do to achieve the unit on an instructional day-to-day basis. Now identify, describe and use the most common steps in lesson planning. The Dynamic Instructional Design (DID) model is built on a continuous internal and external feedback loop to ensure that each step of the process is performing at its best. Continual self-analysis, feedback, and correction are built into the model to accentuate its flexibility while maintaining integrity. The process is changing and dynamic. Step 1 –Know the Learners. The first step suggests that the instructor must design lessons to meet the needs of the individuals in the classroom. If the facilitator does not take into consideration the needs of the learners they will not have a successful professional development. The facilitator must view their learners as unique individuals and then professional developement will have a higher rate of success or meeting the intended objectives. Knowing your learners needs means that the facilitator has identified and addressed the factors that can aid with learning such as learning styles, cognitive style and ability as well as special needs. This can all be assessed by needs assessment prior to the course. Step 2 –Standards Aligned Performance Objectives. Performance objectives also known as learning outcomes identify the content or other standards the objectives address. Another role of performance objectives is to ensure that the teaching and learning experience includes a full range of cognitive levels from simple recall of facts to higher-order critical thinking. Blooms Taxonomy –provides useful delineation of the levels of thinking that should be included when creating objectives. Step 3 –Identify Teaching and Learning Strategies. Teaching strategies are the methods you will use to assist your students in achieving the objectives. Learning strategies are the techniques and activities that you will require your students to engage in to master the content. Step 4 –Select Support Technologies – Technology should support an instructor’s professional decision as to which strategies are the best to teach with and which are best to assist the learner. Step 5 –Assess and Revise. Facilitators must end with an evaluation-this will allow the facilitator to measure their effectiveness and allow them to make appropriate revisions. Having a successful rubric or student feedback form is important. The DID model helps instructors ask themselves critical questions that will improve the quality of the instructional experience for both them-self and the students. Introduction:
I am in my 2nd semester at USM, I plan on graduating in December of 2019. I am working toward a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology. I have taken IT 648, HCD 675, ITD 709, and ITD720. I am currently enrolled in ITD 645 and ITD 780 as well as HCD 643. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education in the area of Social Science from the University of South Alabama in 1998. I have taught history to students in Alabama and Mississippi. I have been a computer teacher, as well as a history teacher at BWMS for the last 13 years. I love teaching technology to my students. I recently was selected as a facilitator for Code.org and I was also selected to be a facilitator for RCU at Mississippi State. I will be teaching the Methods of ICT1 class this summer. I am skilled in all of the Microsoft Office programs: Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Publisher. I also have experience with several Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Flash, and Acrobat Distiller DC. I have also experience with HTML and CSS. I am now in the process of implementing Code.org. It features a visual block-based programming language that allows students to build programs via a drag-and-drop interface in App Lab. It also allows the user to see the text based code as well in a side by side feature. The students are learning JAVA Script in the program. I use electronic based communication on a daily basis. I am very familiar with Canvas and I use it in my classroom with my students. I have incorporated discussion boards in my own classroom. I have used several tools in my time as an online students such as Screencastify and Weebly. I have had some trouble editing videos so if anyone wants to give me some pointers I would greatly appreciate it. I love to incorporate new technology into my classroom and into my personal repertoire. I am familiar with pod casts, blogs and WIKI's but I have not used or incorporated them into my life or classroom. I love to incorporate video clips into my class as a motivator, they can be great attention grabbers for my students. One of my favorites is the moon-walking bear. My philosophy as a teacher is: Everyone in the classroom makes a contribution either as a student, teacher, and/or thinker. I feel that students learn from each other as much as they learn from me. I believe we never stop learning, and I want my students to know we can learn from each other no matter what their age or ability. Everyone in the classroom is there to make the class better. I look forward to learning new skills that will assist me as a teacher and that will help me become a leader in technology. I enjoy learning and implementing new programs that will assist me and my students. |
