Week 4I enjoy using Google Calendar, Google Docs, Google Slides and Google Forms. Although for some this is a momentous task. It is super easy to open a document and create it, but the sharing feature that is sometimes tricky. This to me is where a lot of people get frustrated and begin to stumble. I myself have had issues in the past. I do not always click on the correct sharing settings. When you have an email address that is school owned but a domain of Google it can sometimes be difficult to click the correct sharing setting. It is so much easier to share files within my district but when I have to share outside of my domain, I sometimes have issues. I seem to always have to go back and change my setting and click the share with anyone with the link. As for using google docs and slides in my classroom I do foresee me doing this a lot. But the plus side of this is that Google Classroom. This program which is free to the schools allows the teacher to share documents with ease. It also allows the instructor to send copies of the document to their students so the original is not altered. This unfortunately is not something we can utilize when creating files for ITD 645 because we are not all have Google classroom accounts. I feel that as I go into the 2019-2020 school year that I will use Google Classroom a lot and I will be able to communicate and instruct with 21st century tools. I feel very fortunate to be living in an age where technology can be placed in the hands of our students on a daily basis and utilized for educational purposes. Thank you Gina for always being helpful and very informative with instruction. Chapter 7 is full of information that is so helpful to instructors and anyone trying to find their way through the millions of applications that can be used in the classroom. I also appreciate the sample of the rubrics and the breakdown of the presentations of software in teaching and learning. Very helpful chapter. Thank you for sharing the video on how to share the files, it was very helpful as well.

The thing that I like the most about the Google tools is that it is free and available to anyone. It is also easy to use, but getting help on advanced topics can be a little challenging at times. I really liked the shared folder setup that you created for the group, it made things much easier to share.
